Global warming: Is it too late to save our planet?
|
- Can the earth support us all?
- Education
- All
about class: fear of people that are not like the people in power
having any bit of power has caused this country to purposefully neglect
education for those not in power
- We need a labor class to support the wasteful habits of the power class
- This
country is harming it's own future and world dominance by continuing to
provide inadequate education to all but the most priviliged
- Shortsighted Policies
- Insuring the continued comfort and excess of the few at the expense of the many and longevity of the species
- Greed
- Those in power are greedy, they want everything for themselves
- Power
- Those in power are not the brightest and smartest
- they recruited from amongst their own kind, other people with power and charisma
- Waste
- Those in power are wasteful, they won't change this as it would require they change the way they live their lives
- Energy is not plentiful today
- A "global" economy is one in which a
significant percentage of the worlds evergy stores are used to
transport goods from lesser economic powers to greater economic powers
- These
"lesser economic powers" are lesser as they have not obtained excess
income levels which allow them to be wasteful, and therefore are
actually more energy efficient and able to produce goods at lower costs
than "greater" economic powers
- Where did this philosophy of waste come from? how do we change this?
- Religion
- Power is attained by both being part of a
major religion as well as creating a religion of your own in which you
live the life that your followers want to live
- How does one fix the world?
- Stop being stupid
- Stop wasting energy
- Do you drive to work? Why? How far?
- How much more energy do you use sitting in traffic than you would if you commuted off-peak?
- Eat out much? Why?
- Do your food service providers use all the food they buy?
- Do you eat everything on your plate?
- When's the last time you took the leftovers home?
"There is no limit to what a man can do or how far he can go if he
doesn't mind who gets the credit." - Robert Woodruff
